Excellent Location, Great Food, and Good Prices

We found this place by accident and its truly wonderful. Great appies and everything taste like it's homemade. Highly recommend this place—Marcus - Google Maps Reviews - 30/5/2010.

Delicious!

I recently moved to Vancouver and, much to my delight, the Branas Grill is my neighbourhood restaurant. The food is always delicious—check out the Osso Bucco and Mushroom Risotto special when it is offered. The atmosphere is friendly and can be as intimate as you like. This is my favourite place to eat and to sip a glass of wine at the end of the day, watching the sun set over the city—Mark - False Creek - Urban Spoon Reviews - 4/10/2009.

Nice Surprise!

Went for a walk with my girlfried on a cool sunny October weekend. This is in the False Creek area which is often quite pricey. The menu pricing was very reasonable as I checked out the menu as we walked by. It was getting a bit cold and I kept thinking about the borsch they had on their sign.

The inside is very nice with nearly no patrons. There was only one other table of four and us two in the restaurant. Everbody was walking by without stopping. I asked about the Borsch and was told that it was over. Not sure if that meant they were out of it or if they only served it during brunch hours. We ordered the Wild Mushroom Soup. We only wanted a small snack and were planning to share the soup.

When the soup came it was a really large bowl. I think when they found out that two of us were going to share it they made it a larger serving. They incuded some fresh made bread topped with garlic and rock salt. The soup was excellent and jammed full of pureed mushrooms. It was all very nice and quite a bit more than I expected. The bill was just over $7 before tip.

The only issue was the food was a bit slow coming out but I think that was due to them making the unexpected bread. I would totally go to this place again and would look forward to eating a full meal there. With the only reveiw I think this place is a hidden gem—Tasty34 - Surrey - Dine Here Reviews - 11/10/2009.

The Perfect Restaurant

I went there for breakfast today. They use only free-range eggs and wild salmon for the salmon dishes. I got a Salmon Benny. It came with spices potatoes and salad. It was by far the best breakfast I've ever had. The location is stunning. Absolutely beautiful! This restaurant is perfect. The dinner menu looks delicious but I have not tried it yet. They serve Greek and Italian food there. Oh, the service was great too—Eileen - Vancouver - Google Maps Reviews - 19/07/2010.

My Best-kept Secret Place in Vancouver

My best kept Secret Place in Vancouver which brings me back to all the wonderful memories of Europe everytime I go there! I am afraid of posting this because it may become too popular and the place is very small.

Ambience-one of my favourite ambiences, because it takes you back to that European feel with the right elements of sophisication without being overly formal. It is located right on the waters of False Creek with gorgeous view of the waters. This is a huge plus for the summer. The place has exceptional Live music nightly and when I was there, a Russian lady was playing Russian jazz with a guitarist. Beautiful. It also managed to squeeze in a very tiny bar. Very sophisicated place with feelings of friendliness and warmth without the pretention and average age of patrons are over 30's.

Food-Exceptional, with a mixture of Greek, Italian and Russian. Portions are wonderfully filling, without diminishing the quality. Owner is of Eastern European descent and so are the waiters. I was so impressed when I ordered the Seafood Penne, that it came with sooo many Prawns (no not the ones you buy at Save On, but plump and juicy ones like the ones from the shores of Greece), it's the REAL thing. Dessert, exceptional. I had the Tiramisu, well-done with all the right flavours.

This places ranks top on my list for the service, view, ambience, quality and exceptional portions (I am a big eater). The downside is, it is so small and when we there, they had to turn away at least 15 people who wanted to come in. Do make reservations and it can be a special place with the right company. Brunch, next on my list...when weather is warmer so I can sit on patio and enjoy the most beautiful view of West Coast!

If you love places that has all the flavours and feel of Europe, gorgeous views of Vancouver in one scene, this restaurant conjures all the right ingredients to satisfy all your expectations, from service to music and food!—Rose - Vancouver - Yelp: Real People, Real Reviews - 4/8/20104/8/2010.

A Great Restaurant Hidden Away

If more people knew about this place, there would be lineups out the door and down the block. The location is hard to beat in Vancouver—on the water, overlooking a marina in False Creek. Spectacular sunset views.

Food is very good. Greek and Italian, reasonably priced. The rack of lamb is wonderfully done. Lots of tapas, including deep fried stuffed olives. A selection of inexpensive pasta dishes. Pretty good wine selection, although I expect this will expand.

Attentive service. Overall, a wonderful dining experience—Geoff - Vancouver - Google Maps Reviews - 5/8/2009.

Reccommend this New Restaurant!

Went for a launch to the new restaurant in False Creek and loved it. The bennys were delicious! Want to try their dinner menu. We made a reservation after seeing their dinner menu. The staff is amazing and food is delicious! Music, and water view is great—Alex - Vancouver - Yelp: Real People, Real Reviews - 6/22/2009.

Best Restaurant!

By far the best restaurant of the three at Stamps Landing. Really great food. The Saganaki stuffed deep fried olives for an appetizer were mouth-watering and the Mediterranean Mixed Platter for two was excellent. The Calamari had some kind of spice on it that made it particularly zesty. Yum.

The wait staff was dedicated. It almost felt like they were the owners themselves, and they had a real interest in making sure everything was just right. The mixture of Russian and English songs by the live musician provided a great touch to a wonderful atmosphere. Great job guys. Very highly recommended—TyM - Vancouver - Yelp: Real People, Real Reviews - 7/18/2010.
